Henley Jun wurde 1997 in Busan, Südkorea, geboren. Im Alter von 3 Jahren zog er nach Südafrika, wo er im Alter von 8 Jahren mit dem Klavierunterricht begann. 2014 kam er nach Deutschland, um sein Studium fortzusetzen. Henley spielte in verschiedenen Ländern wie Südafrika, Südkorea, Deutschland, Portugal, Frankreich und Italien und war Künstler im Rahmen der Unisa Music Foundation Young Artists Program. Er trat als Solist bei verschiedenen Festivals mit Orchestern auf, darunter das Cape Town Philharmonie und das Hugo-Lambrechts-Symphonieorchester. Er erhielt Auszeichnungen bei internationalen Wettbewerben wie den 1. Preis des Fundao International Piano Wettbewerbs und er erreichte den 3. Preis beim WTPA Argentina International Competition. Unterrichtet wurde er von Dr. Mario Nel und Prof. Christian A. Pohl. Derzeit studiert er bei Prof. Alexej Gorlatch. Henley ist ein KNS Classical-Künstler und wird 2025 seine Debüt-CD veröffentlichen, für die er die letzten Sonaten von Beethoven und Schubert aufnehmen wird.

Romanticism was an era of that emphasised on emotion, imagination and individualism.
Schumann's Waldzenen are the recreations of his imaginations of the scenes of a forest. His profound yet beautiful depictions of the scenes and characters of the forest all come in harmony to show the beauty of nature. The piece ends with "Der Abschied", as Schumann depicts a sad yet heartfelt farewell to nature.
Scriabin's Fantasie and Deux Poème are the pinnacle of late romanticism, where emotion almost becomes heightened like ecstasy. Both pieces display the large spectrum of emotions through his colourful dissonant yet sublime expressions.
Rachmaninoff's Moment Musicaux may be arguably the most romantic solo piano work he has composed. He was truly the great last romantic despite the era of modernism. The full cycle is the epitome romanticism.
